We are either hosting, sponsoring, or visiting all of the following awesome events during the month of March.  Most of them are totally FREE to attend, so if you are a GAMER and want to have FUN on your spring break in Austin, TX, here is where YOU need to be:

March 12-14   (Fri/Sat/Sun)   - SXSW Interactive hosts a FREE video game arcade in downtown Austin at the Austin Convention Center.  Please visit them online for hours and more info HERE. 

March 15 (Mon)  -  Special FREE Movie Screening at the Alamo Drafthouse - South Lamar of the cool indie documentary on chip tune music (making music using classic video game systems!) called "ReFormat the Planet".

March 16-17 (Tues/Wed)  - DATAPOP 3.0 @ the Highball event center located right next to the Alamo Drafthouse on South Lamar.  Two nights of loud, pumping, retro-techno infused musical splendor from over 15 performers from around the world!  Shows are 7pm - 2am both nights.  Last year's show was sweet, and this year's is MUCH BIGGER!  Plus, both nights of this show are completely FREE, so get there early!!  For more info, please check out their website HERE.

March 19 (Fri)  - SXSW daytime LIVE MUSIC showcase featuring headliners "Protomen" who base all of their music on the world of Mega Man video games.  This will be at the Republic LIVE club on W 5th Street in Austin, TX.  It will be an awesome show to see, and the show is FREE but limited to first 500 people, so get there early.  School is out this week, but skip work if you have to, because you won't want to miss this one! 

March 23 (Tues)  - the best post-spring break party around - ARCADE - the Music of Video Games.  This performance of classic video game music by the Austin Wind Symphony will take place at the Mexican Amercian Culteral Center in downtown Austin, TX.  To purchase tickets or for more info, please visit them online HERE.
