Game Over Videogames, Inc. is Texas-based retail video game company dedicated to classic video games. At Game Over, we BUY, SELL, and TRADE all videogames from Atari to Xbox, and we pay CA$H for trade ins daily.
The idea for Game Over Videogames was originated in the summer of 2005 and the first store opened in Austin, TX on October 14, 2005. Our mission was simple – to create a HUGE oasis in the video game retail world where classic and vintage games would not only exist, but here they would be cleaned, merchandised, presented, and sold in a way that no other video game store has ever done. Old videogames are not just a little shelf in the back at our stores - they fill our ENTIRE stores! We do realize that this concept is the 100% opposite of the way most video game stores operate, but we like it that way!
After the non-stop mergers and acquisitions during the late 90s and early 2000s, most stores liquidated classic video games and stopped accepting them for trade in cash or credit. At Game Over Videogames, we brought classic video games back into the city, and gave gamers a top quality, one stop shop for classic video games, systems, accessories, plus the coolest collectibles, t-shirts, etc and more. At Game Over Videogames, we LOVE classic videogames!
What is even more remarkable about this crazy experiment in video game nostalgia, is that it started with just one man (David Kaelin), his classic game collection, and the dream. Now, several years later, Game Over Videogames includes 3 retail stores, with more on the way, plus a new online store open to old-school video game players and collectors nationwide.
